Does anyone else use the Ignore List? I only have 4 names on my list but that removes most of the irritating, negative posts. With some posters, as soon as you see their name you know the post is going to be negative and critical, what ever the topic. By blocking these posters I don't think the forum suffers at all and it becomes much less annoying.

That is nice to know. I also wish there was a simple like/dislike button. More people might end up hitting the dislike button rather than attacking the post or poster.

I only have one name on my Ignore list but it's been on there for ages, ever since before we had the separate political forum. Every now and then his name appears, with a note saying he's on my ignore list therefore no message. Saves a lot of aggravation because i always used to read his posts even though they made me furious.

So far, I don't see any need for the "ignore" list. Nobody seems really obnoxious to me. (so far):a20:

I haven't had a need for the ignore list as I don't let people rent space in my head. :jester:

Have only used it a few times for brief periods. Then put whoever irked back on. Cannot enjoy the mountains without seeing the canyons you have crossed.

I knew there was an "ignore" list but I guess I never used it. I just checked and after 5 years of being on TOTV, there is no one on my ignore list. However, I wonder how many might be ignoring me??? LOL... I hope none!!

I have learned to listen to other peoples opinions even if I do not agree with them. You may be suprised how many times your initial take on something was wrong and you may learn something new. Other opinions have never harmed me, only expanded my knowledge and data base.

Ditto. :agree: That's truly an open mind.

I didn't know there was such a list. I'm looking for the "Hotly Desired" list!

:agree: When I first joined TOTV there was a post that truly offended me on many levels, However in reading subsequent posts from that person, I realized there was much more to be considered there! Now I try to not be judgmental and allow for many varied opinions. As they say, "One cannot judge a book by its' cover" Good advice!
