View Full Version : "The day the music died"
Does anyone know when the Rec centers will start playing music around the pool again?? It's been a couple of months now.

They only play music at the pools for Snowbirds?
You can tell the rec dept we are hitting the road for fla in 10 days so they can turn the music on.

The music is also on at the Paradise pool.
Seabreeze, Fishhawk & Allamanda have been silent far too long. How much longer can we as Villagers tolerate this inequity? Is this a north/south thing? Pleeeease, let the music play on....

Maybe someone who frequents those pools asked them NOT to have music.
Take a little radio with ear buds.
I would guess at Seabreeze that it might be turned off so the water aerobics instructor can instruct and someone didn't turn it back on.
What do the folks behind the desks say? What does the recreation department say?
I am not trying to minimalize your issue. Please tell us more.
I admit when I am first in the art room, I turn off the radio. Please don't turn me in.
I noticed that you had raised this issue on another thread a little while back. I have found a GREAT way to get to the bottom of almost any issue is to call either the sales office at LSL or The Daily Sun.
We have asked the people working the desks on several different occasions at several different Rec. centers. Some reply the system is broke, hit by lightning and one, who I believe was the most credible, said it was a contractural issue between Comcast and The Villages. Yes we can bring our own radio but we all know there is going to be that one person who thinks it's too loud or not to their liking. Just miss the good ole days when we could go to our beloved Rec. centers and listen to the music and yes we even miss the hoakie, albeit loveable D.J.s, letting us know what is going on in and around The Villages.

Earbuds.
Call sales center.
Never ask volunteers or sub contractors unless you want to hear an interesting story.
