Trying to keep this non political.

My alma mater for my MA in Librarianship and Information Management will be on the world stage on Wednesday night for the Domestic Policy Presidential Debate.

Any other DU grads on TOTV?? I have never seen any D.U. t-shirts in the college color days here in the Villages.

My Masters program was only a year and I worked three jobs while at D.U. so I did not have a huge amount of time to get to DU school events and the like. Just a couple of Pioneer Hockey games.

Never been to this Arena. It was not there when I graduated from Denver U. in 1984. The Pioneer Hockey games I went to were in their now torn down DU Arena. The DU Arena hosted three Final Four Hockey competitions: 1961, 1964, and 1976.

DU has won 7 Final Four Ice Hockey Tournaments.

Denver is a very beautiful city except when it gets smoggy. I found it worst than Los Angeles in terms of smog when the pollution gets backed against the Rockies because of a certain wind pattern.

It had some excellent bicycle trails back in the mid 1980s when I was there.

Denver University is a rich kids school for the most part unless you are there on Scholarship. It was very expensive even back in 1983-1984. I could only afford it through a Stipend Grant. It was like Northern Exposure's doctor's grant which required him to go find work in Alaska as a physician for a certain amount of time. Mine was for Librarianship in Nevada though.

http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg03_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=693 Cost of attendance of DU this year (2012) is around $54,470. It is probably more for the Graduate Schools there.

Hate to tell you but most of the well known colleges are around $50- $55,000 these days other than the public universities and that is only if you are a resident of that state. It is absolutely crazy.
