We moved to TV August 2011, but went back home for Thanksgiving and Christmas(We were gone for 6 weeks). This is going be our first Christmas in Florida and I have a question about Christmas Trees. I really don't want an artificial tree, so I need to know if the stores around here sell real ones, or they just don't do that in Florida? We always went and cut down our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving and kept it up till New Years Day, not sure I will be doing that again.
Thanks all.

Yes! We also wanted only live trees and the first year we bought a potted Norfolk pine, using it again the following year. Then the next year we bought one at Lowe's and last year we went to one of the few "cut your own" farms to get a fresher tree. Soon they will be publishing the locations of the farms in the paper and I would highly recommend cutting your own, since you like to leave it up so long and the ones already cut are sometimes already a month or more old. I don't think they cost a whole lot more than we were paying up north, either.

Problem with pre-cut in Florida as the former posted stated is they are just too dry. Get creative with an indoor palm or suck-it-up with an artifical and burn some candles. Happy Holidays!

With all due respect, been here 7 years and get a live tree from a local supplier every year. I believe it is Hart-T tree farms. they are all over the place. Trees are great and last for many weeks. Usually put it up 2-3 weeks before Christmas and take it down after New Years.

Thanks all for responding. I will look for places to either cut down our own or Hart-T farms. I'd rather not get a artificial tree.
