Well, there's lots of room. What's the problem? LOL I know someone who did this a few months ago. Sad, but true.

Well, I'm sure they thought this bridge needs to be widened.

Someone in another thread just mentioned this has happened previously.
Takes defensive driving to another level.
Apparently visitors, newbies and residents alike have gotten off the beaten path at one time.
No one category of people to blame.

Wouldn't they have had to drive down golf cart paths to get to the bridge...and aren't there cement posts in the middle of the golf cart path just before going over the bridge, that they would have had to go around? It is hard to imagine how they could have done this.

Our sales represetitive told us the story of a new visitor arriving at night, getting lost. She called him for directions and said she didn't think she could make it through the tunnel. He told her to wait right there, sure enough it was a golf cart tunnel she was trying to get through.

Be careful out there, remember when you first started to learn your way around?

Going thru golf cart tunnels is pretty common here.Seen that happen many times.

On the bridge across 441.

Easier to see how this was done if you look at the picture when bigger. That's a car about the same size as a large golf cart. Mini-Cooper??

If you look at the picture, there is no way the golf cart coming from the other direction is getting past this car. It is just too big.

Looks like the golf cart driver is actually trying to convince the car driver to back-up???

This doesn't pertain to the car on the bridge, but 2 different times I've seen cars pull onto the cart path at Bailey Trail and BV by Lake Miona. There is no post (and no "no car" sign) at the path entrance there and the path is fairly wide at the entrance so I can see how a visitor or new person might think it's a road. Two hypothetical scenarios come to mind...

Someone is following directions that say "go through gate and take first left". The first left would be the cart path. Or someone coming from the opposite direction toward the gate MISREADS the sign at the gate to say "No CARS Beyond This Point", and thinking that they can't go through the gate, takes a quick right onto the path.

Both times the vehicle was driven by what appeared to be a fairly young person, which made me believe they were visitors and not residents. And both times an oncoming cart driver stopped them before they got too far and helped them back out.

The ones that scare me,are when they are confused and driving their car in the golf cart lanes especially when diving with hills.
