I'm assuming patient, but maybe not.
I did an internet search that came up with a list showing 175 abbreviations for those initials but patient seemed the best choice.

PT is short for patient. That is a common abbreviation on the RadioReference web site where this particular accident report came from.

I just had seat belts installed yesterday and it occurred to me that if for some reason the cart rolled it could easily land on top of me. But maybe that is better than being thrown! I guess that everything has a pro and con.

LW888good move for sure. I once saw a man thrown from a golf cart and it wasn't pretty. The driver took a sudden left hand turn and the passenger fell out. He hit the pavement hard and rolled several times before it was over. A bloody mess . A simple lap belt would of have prevented them terrible accident.

It seems that the passengers often are the ones thrown when going around the corners. Probably because they aren't in the driver's head and can't anticipate the curve the same way. At least I now can feel that we are somewhat safer in the open cart. Seems so silly that we think nothing of buckling up in a car but are not required to do the same in an open cart. To me it's like not having seatbelts in school buses and tour buses

Anybody on TOTV see the accident and was anybody badly hurt? Seems like I've heard about a number of golf cart accidents lately. LOOK OUT INSURANCE PREMIUMS!

why do so many golf cart drivers (Indy 500 type) leave their brain at home?
