We just got our Florida drivers license and now I must change my carry permit to Florida. I understand I have to take a class and get a certificate before I can put in my application. Has anyone done this? Is there a class in TV? Is there a certified instructor in TV?

I just took my Mo. Permit & $112 to Tampa license office :
1313 N Tampa St # 712
Tampa FL 33602
United States
(813) 272-2552
It took about 30 minutes all total. Permit will arrive in three weeks. If you call that number they will answer all your questions and make an appointment. It usually takes about three weeks to get in from the day you call. A very BUSY office.
While you are in Tampa stop by the Hard Rock Casino for lunch and fun!!! :a040::a040:

You do not need to qualify with your firearm to receive a FL carry permit. You old permit is all that you need. But you might want to take a concealed carry class as FL has some pretty strick laws on the concealed carry of a firearm that you should know about. I do give individual classes as well as group classes. You can PM me for additional information. Your old permit is valid for 90 days, but becareful, as most of the law enforcement officers that I have talked to do not know this. Getting arrested, even if later it is found that you are OK is no fun. Get the FL permit as soon as you can. The other poster is correct, call Tempa and go there, faster and saves lots of running around.
