This is my first post on TOTV. Hi to everyone. I wanted to know if anyone knows why the playground across from Sonny's is not being fixed and opened. My granddaughter is broken hearted when she visits us and can't play at her favorite place. Thank you.

It is a disapointment.
We take our grandaughter to the school playground.
Besides the school has swings which The Villages playground didn't have.

The Villages School?

No, the one for little people in Lady Lake.
Gracie, you and I won't fit into the swings!!
Do you have a little person?

My little ones are coming soon. Is there a playground at the charter school that we can use?

This subject has been a sore spot with me for a long time. With all the grandchildren who visit it would seem The Villages would have a good, big, and varied playground for them.

The Pirate Ship across from Sonny's has been embarrassing for me when I take children there. It's small, has limited activities on it, and is not well maintained. It's not up to The Villages standards, in my opinion.

In fact, there are few playgrounds that are up to my standards in the area. The closest is in Lady Lake, however, the equipment there needs better maintenance, too.

We went by the park today, Sunday, and it was being worked on.

There is an excellent playground on Powell Road off 466a, but it is not golf cart accessible. I agree completely that the TV should have a large well equipped playground like the one on Powell Road that is golf cart accessible for all the small grandchildren that visit The Villages all year round.

Welcome to Talk of the Villages (TOTV), Suzer. The Pyramid Park Lady Lake Chamber of Commerce (http://www.ladylakechamber.com/AboutLadyLake/Recreation.asp) in Lady Lake is nice.

The Villages School?

Gracie;

There is a playground at the Villages School on 466. I would say yes until someone asks you to leave. There is also a large one on Powell Road by the Emergency Evac Center along with one on 25A in Fruitland Park at the Ball Field between 466A and 27/441.

Hi-this is also my first post. My grandchildren are visiting 3 1/2 and 2yrs old. I'm looking for playgrounds in the Villages. We are in the Village of Sanibel and renting. If you could give general directions it would be helpful because we are new to the Villages. Thank you.

There is also a nice playdround in Oxford, at the corner of 466 and 301.

There is also a very nice park on the edge of Wildwood. We take our GKs all the time. It has a walking trail, soccer fields and plenty of play area.
