If you do a search you will find many postings on this topic. We've used Wendy Neff for years and love her.

Her name is exxed out when I try to type it.

We also use crimson halloween flying woman (redwitch) on this forum Her name is Dee Parsons and has done a great job watching our cats, even the one who needed to have medicine. PM me if you want details.

Dennis G:

Not to take anything away from Redwitch (so much easier to type than her extended name :D), or any other sitters, you may well find that a neighbor will gladly do it.
There are 16 houses on my cul-de-sac street and I always have three neighbors wiling to sit on The Cat.

For free, too!

I have 2 old golden retrievers.8 and 13. They eat sleep and pea/poop 2/3 times a day.
Do you take care of the dogs in your home or come here?.............what do you charge?

What an excellent plan. Have you had large dogs or small dogs, or both? Do you live locally in The Villages? Would you visit homes or take care of the dogs in your home?

I use Robbie Rowe, 352-504-6441, for my 2 cats. She is dependable and reasonable.

Thank You,not sure about the excellent plan yet. Both large and small. Do I live locally in the villages? Not sure of what locally means. If you ask me where it would be 5 minutes from LSL. Not sure of last question, but probably one or another.

I was just reading the doggie teeth cleaning thread, and I realized you were the one who said: My motto always has been Humans first, Animals second. I'm not sure that's a good motto for a dog sitter.

Contrary,You mean you would pick animals over humans? You human friends must just love you.So you love animals over humans. Interesting!

Why is it a choice?

Y'know, PaulandJean, I don't think petsitting would really be your thing. Seeing as you DON'T apparently live in TV maybe you should think about fostering some delinquent children. It might be a better fit.

Whoa, what an evasive answer, are you in the Federal Witness Relocation Program?

Interesting,Why because I value human life first over animal life.Funny comment, about apparently That I do not live in the villages. Bet I have lived here twice as long as you have. If you cannot figure out if its 5 minute from LSL,then you do not know about Mallory,Amelia,Sunset Pointe,Or Libery Park.Yes working with Children has been the main part of my life, and thats why I am so good at it.Would I treat a child better than a dog,I sure would. So sad you must be unhappy. Have a great day.

I'm afraid we're wandering off the Pet Sitting topic of this thread.

You said your Motto was Humans First, Animals Second.
I never, ever said I choose animals over humans. That is your incorrect extrapolation. I think one can love both animals and humans, without reservation.

Correct,Humans first,animals second.

Getting back on topic, I am very fussy who I would allow to watch my pets, honestly probably fussier than most parents are with their children. Over the years I have had times when I was forced to kennel them and it worked out great.

On LI I brought them to a local woman who did pet rescue, I figured if she could rescue feral cats and abandoned dogs she could take care of mine for a few days. She had groups of girl scouts come in and they amused them. The money went for a good cause. It was all good, she also did my grooming.

Upstate NY we went to a "Pet Spa", the property had good fencing, they had a "suite" with tv, I brought bedding from home. If I recall correctly it was owned by a vet. The place cracked me up, they had a cake spinning thing like the diner with treats in it. There were activities like swimming and hiking, which I declined, so the kid who worked there asked if she could do "fun time". Fun time was she layed on the floor and they jumped on her. It was good.

Now, I don't travel for business and take them with me. I find pet friendly hotels, if I can't, I sneak them in.

Excuse me, perhaps you are not aware that you are on the PET FORUM soliciting business for your potential pet babysitting business.

I DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO WORK.

We went on a two-week cruise in September and left Lollipop and Biggins at Snuggles Holiday Camp for Pooches. They had a lovely room, their own screened-in patio, and 24 hour TV set on dog programs. In spite of the pampering they received, they were awfully happy when we arrived to pick them up. We were awfully happy too.

I think it worked out just fine.Little experiment, just by saying Human beings comes first and dogs second ,How would people respond.Add the twist from aonther posts, that maybe I should be a dogsitter? Sit back and watch. True to form, there are some real strange results. Some people will do anything to come across with their point. Received many PM who knew where this was headed. Thanks everyone.
