Good day from PA! Does anyone know if there are plans to build a 3rd softball complex? My husband, a softball junkie, and I are planning a move down in the summer of 2014 and we were trying to zero in on the best Village to settle in based on the proximity to the softball fields. Any info would be helpful...thanks!

I have been told there are no plans for another complex. Also the map shows no complex. The way it works now each league plays one season at Saddlebrook then the next at Buffalo Glen. Switching back and forth each season. There is also another single field, Knutson. It is used by the restricted bat league. It has a 250 ft fence where the other complexes are all 300. I suppose the closest to half way between the 2 complexes would be good. I live in Duval and can be to either in 15 - 20 min. and I play 3 days a week. I don't mind the cart ride. This page has info about the Softball program in TV. Village Community Development Districts (http://www.districtgov.org/departments/Recreation/softball.aspx)

The Villages master plan shows three executive golf courses being built in that area.

My wife bought a new 2013 Villages map it shows a 2 field softball complex at the end of Morse Blvd at Rte 44. It also shows and names new executive courses and a future country club between 466a and rte 44.
