Is there a good optometrist here?
Don't need an opthomologist, just an exam and eyeglass update.

We go to Peepers in Colony Cottage. See Dr. Collins....a very good optometrist.
His opticians are some of the best I've ever encountered.

I love Dr Geddes at Walmart and he accepts PCP. His digital mapping of the back of your eye is fantastic. It costs $35 (not paid by ins) but is diagnostic and really neat to see and have explained. He told me it showed I have healthy eyes and no high bp and no heart problems. It takes the place of the dilation. You can choose to have the dilation (paid by ins)of course, instead.

ditto for Dr. Geddes at Walmart.
They have more up to date examination (digital) than most other small optometrists could afford.
They do take Preferred Care Insurance

I also go to Walmart, the one off 466. I see Dr. Diane C. Orr. She is an independent Optometrist, and I just like her. If she sees a real problem she recommends you to one of the large eye clinics here in TV. I have also had the digital mapping; I have the beginning of Macular and she showed me where it was, how big it was, and now with this digital reading she will be able to follow it's growth etc.
