Vinca's

I've really had great luck with vinca's this year and last. As the cooler weather is coming, I notice some leaves yellow. (I'm guessing it means it wants more iron?) When frost comes, I cut them down, but don't pull them out, even though they are annuals. The following spring (or earlier) they start to sprout again. Also, the ones in my pots, show new sprouts in spring. I transplant them into small containers, till they get to size for planting. They are so hearty, and easy to grow.:wave::D

The yellowing leaves are telling us that it is fall - they don't seem to care that we live in perpetual summer, this is fall and it's time for them to shut down. I actually pull mine and replant with the new stock, but they also reseed themselves every year. Great little plant, nothing seems to bother them.

I notice a lot of my plants are telling me it's fall and they are done for the year.

Happy to hear you have had luck. I have had a bad experience with my vincas. Something is digging them up and exposing the roots. I have replaced the plants three times and each time the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Hmmmmmmmmm???????????? If they are close to grass, I might take a guess at Mole Crickets? I'm sure if you stop at 466 Annex today (monday, next to Sheriffs Office) they would help you with youe problem. For a minute, I was going to say, I was digging them up, but thought twice!! hehehehe (Didn't want to get shot) But seriously, either give them a call, or stop by today, and they will help.
