Wife and I are arriving by shuttle from Orlando Wednesday evening around 10pm
Since were still relatively new to the Villages.
Wondering which restaurants will be serving food at that hour or later

If you are coming into Lake Sumter at 10:00, the kitchen should still be open at City Fire & Fridays. Not sure how late the Lighthouse serves.
Spanish Springs you would have Margarita Republic & Gator Dockside. Not sure about McCalls at the bowling alley.
There may be others, but I'm not sure about them.

Applebee's on 441. Sonic by Wal-Mart on 441. Not a lot of choices. Don't think Margarita Republic serves food that late, but you never can tell. For some quick grocery shopping, Sweet Bay is open until 11:00 pm, both Wal-Marts (466 and 441) are open 24 hours.

Have a safe journey.

Many of us have stopped at Walmart when arriving after hours to get some sandwich stuff. In case you don't know there is a Super Walmart on 466 (Not too far from 301) west of Publix. One on 441/27 and another not too far down 466A in Fruitland Park also on 441/27...that one is not IN the Villages, but in case you might be driving North on 441/27 from Orlando, worth a mention.

I would guess that Papa John's Pizza in Lady Lake would be open. They deliver and their pizza is wonderful.

Whether you are a midnight guy or gal, it's difficult to get excited about anything around here in the evening. Love TV, but boy do we miss having a decent club/pub/restaurant to go in the evenings. On the other hand, I'm not sure TV could support a late night establishment.

When our friends come down in the winter, they are shocked that Katie Belles literally throws you out as close to 9pm as possible. We were in there one night and they were actually putting the chairs up on the table while we were still sitting and finishing our drinks.

We may be retired, but we are not dead - well not the last time I looked!

Why were they throwing you out at 9:00 ? Entertainment goes until 10:00 on the week nights & 11:00 on the weekends.

Aren't all Dennys open 24/7? There is one located just North of the hospital on 441/27. I checked their web site and it said it was open.

This was about two years ago and after one of the Donna Moore shows - when they used to do an earlier show, so it could have been different that evening. Things may have changed since then, I should go back and see for myself.

I am not yet a TVer but, is there any way to get that message across?
Personally I am never in bed before 1 am even when I get up early for golf.

It would be nice to go out and eat and have some drinks and not have to go home too early if so desired.

I don't know if the Denny's on 441/27 is open 24/7, but last year I had a meal there after 10:00 p.m. probably closer to 11:00 p.m.

I think you must be closely related to my other half.

I might be,but i know for sure he wasn't the fellow i talked to recently at LSL.He told me when he was younger and spent the night out,all he was concerned with was having "protection."Now when he spents the night in a hotel,he always brings a roll of quarters and ask for a bed that vibrates, just in case....................i'm just saying:ho: Back on topic, within the next 3 years there will be plenty of restaurants and night life available in and around TV.Many Villagers will not appreciate everything that comes with rapid growth, stronger economy, better paying jobs, and a larger population, but the benefits will far outweigh the negatives. This is just one man's opinion,"but i approve this message." `

The music at 5 pm is too early
They shouls do 6 till 10 pm, at least in summer months
That way eateries would support a later crowd???

It's nice to talk in theory about having restaurants open later, but in reality, the market is just not there. If you go into any of the country clubs anywhere near their current closing hour, you can shoot a cannon through them and not hit anyone. If you were a restaurant owner with that kind of client market, you would be crazy to stay open even longer. You've got to believe that restaurant owners are at least a bit savvy and if they saw an unfilled need, like late hours, they would fill it.

I have no idea how long they have after their flight, but the shuttle is on a schedule.

I agree with lbmb24101, it would be nice to have the establishments in the town squares open at least until 10pm. Especially in the summer, when you are enjoying the pool and have to leave at 4pm to get ready to go out for the evening that ends at 9. I agree the CCs probably wouldn't receive enough business in the later hours, but the squares would, especially if they extended the entertainment until 10. I too am a night owl and have spent most of my adult life getting up early to go to work each day. I am now ready to abandon a schedule.

Denny's on 441/27 north of the hospital is open 24/7, all Denny's are. The best Denny's near TV is the one in Leesburg almost across from the Walmart on 441/27. We eat there quite often and its quite good and clean.

Waffle House in Wildwood isn't a place that I would like to go. Been there and was disappointed.

A lot of the restaurants in SS are open and serve food until 11 on weekends, Gator's Dockside, Marg Republic, Applebee's, and Perkins. Don't be surprised if towards closing time, they will all mop up around you and get ready for closing. But at least they are serving food. Applebees is open till 2am actually on the weekends.

There's always Legends in Fruitland Park, food and service are EXCELLENT, open until 1am on Friday nights. We love it there.

Since we all know that country clubs close at 9pm, no one goes there but if they would stay open until 10 or later, believe me, they would have a crowd.

We have no problem finding places to eat and hear music after 9pm, but we notice its always the same crowd. I gather most people in the villages like to go to bed early because if they were really interested in late night entertainment, I'd see them out there.
