I purchased a vintage violin for my beloved granddaughter from a delightful totv'er. Now I need to get new strings and new horsehair for the bow. Is there anyone out there with expertise in violin restoration? Thanks.

That is my granddaughter in the picture. She just turned twelve and is passionate about the violin. She plays for her church and for community events.

There is a good luthier in Gainesville. It was quite awhile ago but I could possibly find the name if you are interested. There used to be someone in Leesburg also - maybe they are still there. Put a search in for luthier in Central Florida (I think that's what they are called).

Within the last two years my family has used Gainesville Violins, 4240 NW 129 Street Gainseville Fl. 32606. Phone 352-331-5555, and they were happy with the violin repair.
