Someone posted a thread like this before, I could not find a definitive answer. Aside from different types of eateries, what type of business do you feel The Villages is lacking? What business do you miss from home or what business do you feel is a necessity that is missing?

I am just curious, I am in the dance business so I am not opening anything but maybe there are wishes out there that need to be met

We have Ace on 466 near Publix.

I would like Steinmart and Homegoods.

Ace in Southern Trace, Spanish Springs and Wildwood......that should be enough.

Sewing material, craft, quilters supplies, good quality yarn, sewing machines, classes- no offense with Hobby Lobby but they don't hold a candle to some of the specialty craft businesses with experienced and a passion for needle work.

A craft brewery!

:bigbow::beer3:

We are from Colorado and miss the craft breweries we had there. Although, we have been pleasantly surprised with what we can find in the grocery/liquor stores. Would love to have more options on tap at the restaurants/country clubs.

I posted this last year. I just calculated that TV is now 5 times larger than where I originally owned a business for 25 years. Read the answers, my question has changed. What TYPES of businesses do you think the "boomer" generation is going to require in the next 5 to 10 years in TV? My categories are:

Recreational
Boutique/Niche (including grand children)
Non-Chain Restaurants (many on another thread feel "fine" and specific cuisine based would not survive)
Snow Bird Only
Snow Flake Only (I live on Cape Cod, the reverse of TV. We have one t-shirt/sweatshirt manufacturer who has multiple locations only for the season, Cuffy's for those who know the area, in addition to eateries. I also have friends on "the islands" same thing BUT they have HUGE profits in the summer based on grand children's needs, especially niche events)

It appears you have EVERYTHING covered but I do not think so as your population grows; add your own, I am curious since I am coming to stay with a friend in late October.

WaWa my kingdom for a WaWa

WaWa is planning on opening 100 stores in the next five years in the Orlando and Tampa area. There are several opening this fall.

Wawa convenience chain expanding in Florida: Plans 100 stores in Orlando, Tampa; could Jacksonville be on the map? (http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com/showstory.php?Story_id=538827)
