Hi Frank,
What is your opinion of the Alumacar? Have had mine for 3 years and seems to have a big problem with having to replace the batteries more often than I did with my club car. Thanks for your response.

The Alumacar should have the same battery life as your Club Car they have a similar motor, controller, differential and aluminum chassis.

They have had problems with the break systems, causing brakes to over adjust and resulting in a drag on the cart. Test this by pushing the cart on a flat surface without the parking brake, if you feel a drag the brakes are the problem. We have replaced the systems with an upgraded system and illuminated brake noise and drag on these models.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Frank. Did have problems with the brakes, but they did take care of that. They just said the batteries won't last longer than the 2 or 3 years, so I either have to spend about $800-900 on new batteries, or get another make of cart. If I could get batteries cheaper, and know that I could get another 2-4 years, would most likely do that for now.

What was the year/model of your AlumaCar? Do you know if the newer models have the same problem with brakes?
