I just had returned to me a chair and 2 stools that had the caning refurbished. They are beautiful, the work was professional and the price was very reasonable. John Mathews from Leesburg did the work and I could not be happier. If anyone is looking to rehab a piece of furniture that has caning in it I would strongly recommend John for the work. His number is 407/ 416-9483.

I couldn't agree more. He is a master craftsman and is half the price of others. He truly loves his work. The chair I brought him had the smallest holes and the smallest cane. But as challenging as it was, he enjoyed the challenge and it was a perfect match to the seat that was still intact.

I took your advice and called him. He replaced the caning on one of my dining room chairs - a perfect match to the others. He also re-caned an antique chair for me. It looks beautiful and I got a real education about its history as well as that of several of the antique chairs he was working on at the time.
John loves his vocation and it shows in his enthusiasm for history and in the work product. He's an interesting person to meet.
