I feel Carts & Clubs build the best Yamaha cart - better wiring (much of it is their own), much better Sunbrella enclosures (virtually zero gaps), etc. Their pricing used to be much better than buying from TV but that has changed - they're arguably a bit more expensive than TV now. Worth the difference in my mind. Good people, good service - we've been happy with the cart we bought new from them. You're dealing with the owners there.

Don't get me wrong - TV does a good job with their product. But the things C & C does with their builds make a difference to me. I'd buy from them again.

I purchased mine as well from Carts and Clubs. Very happy. They do a better job with the sunbrella and wiring.

Agree with above. Have an 09 from Villages and a 10 from C&C and both are great carts, but the enclosure and few other features are much better from Carts and Clubs.

Interesting that they're not doing reman carts any more.

I remember when we bought our cart new from C & C a couple of years back, the price difference between reman and new was less than $2k (if memory serves me correctly). Maybe they were finding more people choosing new than reman and decided to take those off the table.

If you're willing to shop around a little you can get ALOT better deal. I just got a brand new EFI Yamaha from an authorized dealer, deluxe LED light kit, 14" chrome wheels, high speed, 2 coolers, ball washer, shopping bag, overhead storage, enclosure. It's loaded. "All In" (including tax) I'm under $8000.

What a nice cart! Where did you purchase your cart? Was it local? What type of service is provided after the sale?

Sorry for all the questions. I will be purchasing my first cart soon and would like to get the best cart at the best price.

I am not sure but, I think TV golf store is now carring the same enclosure. It is an option you have to ask for.

I don't understand how someone comes here and makes a statement like this & won't share where one could go to find such a deal. I'm confused :rant-rave:

I'm sorry if I can't respond to you in what you feel is an acceptable time frame but I have alot going on currently. My post did state "If you're willing to shop around a little".

Here, I'll throw you a bone. Check Google, ebay, craigslist and places like that. Lots of authorized dealers use these tools to get around territory restrictions. Look at dealers 100+ miles away. Buy a base model cart and add what you want/need. Carts are cheap, they don't need to cost $11,000+ if you do a little shopping.

I bought my cart from Knight Rides, enclosure from JC Canvas, wheels from Davis Golf Cart sales and some accessories from buggies unlimited and amazon.

Happy shopping

:gc:

I must agree with Bill on this the Sunbrella is a nice fit. Go to their website and see "the carts and club advantage" . That lists improvements then compare to similar carts.

I am still getting comments from neighbors about some of the "extra features" "where did you get those seats ..sure is comfortable"

Actually based on some reasearch it looks like if $8000 is considered good deal on a 2013 yamaha here its better buy somewhere north and ship it or haul it. They are suppose to retail for 5000-5500 from what I've seen in research and I found them in various parts of the country for that price. I was thinking the next time we go north to buy one and trailer it back. Heck even a 1000 in shipping would be cheaper. If someone knows of a place you can buy a yamaha gas cart new for the retail price let me know. Will happily check it out.

There is an authorized Yamaha dealer in Kentucky (Cunningham Golf Car Company) that sells the new 2013's at a starting price of $5300 plus options. They even ship FOR FREE to the east coast. West coast is $250. I haven't bought from them. Just putting up some info so that you can google them and do your own research.

I have an 2010 electric EXGO 4 passenger and went into the Villages Golf Cart store to look at the new Yamaha gas carts. The dealer offered me $3000 for my cart. How insulting is that. Yes, I can get more for it if I sell it privately, but $3000, seriously!!! They had a used 2010 Breeze electric sitting on the floor with an $8,500 price tag.

With some due diligence and a little work, you can find a great deal on a new Yamaha cart and save enough money to go on a 7 day cruise with your spouse.

Any idea as to an estimate of time it takes to build out a cart after you sign the deal?

Ordered a re-man 2010 Yammi @ Village carts on 11/8, they gave me a loaner & I get my 4 pass. on 12/7. So figure about 1 mo. on a re-man.

Carts & Clubs also does repairs, oil changes, etc all in your driveway. None of that load it on a truck and get it back tomorrow (maybe) stuff!
How about that $8000 cart! You did the install of the parts you ordered to get it looking so nice, right? Well, my time is worth a LOT to me, so I'd have to factor in the time at a decent hourly wage, plus benefits. Now I might have a bit of an issue with that cost savings.
OH, how about service? I'm 100% sure that any Yamaha dealer is required to do warranty work on the cart, but I wonder how far down the line the cart will go ... just might be Yamaha dealers have customers that bought from them that are getting put into line ahead. Maybe not, maybe so. That would be hard to prove anyway.
I bet I paid more than I should have, but we got custom paint, including the top, and ordered it the way we wanted, spun no wrenches, and had a very nice fellow deliver it to us full of gas. My $.02

Please see my other post about this company. If you do not purchase from them then don't waste your time calling them. They will not work on anything they did not sell. Go figure.
