We live in a small cul de sac with only 5 homes. One of the residents is having a lot of landscaping done to include new palm trees a new wall etc. Wonder who's responsibity it is to clean up after they leave.

There is a bunch of sand all over the cul de sac and it looks like crap! I don't think it is my responsibility to have to go and clean it when we all have very clean area around our house and the street.

They just come and dump sand everywhere leave their trucks all over the place all day long and overall just a mess.

I think you need to talk to the neighbor. The landscaper is supposed to clean up after himself. Find out the name of the landscaper, and if the neighbor won't call and take care of it, maybe some office of TV would address the situation with the landscaper. They certainly don't want to be on the developer's hit list.

I'd wait till they're finished, I bet it will be fine.

That is one of the reasons we chose Terrascape. In our CYV's I noticed all the other contractors would just dump their big pile of rocks on the street for the workers to retrive from while Terrascape left the rocks on a trailer and then shoveled straight into a wheel barrow to be used in the yard. They were in an out in two days and left no mess.

:agree: Like Patty, I believe the landscaper will clean up and it will be another beautiful day in the Villages.:a040:

Hi John, We just signed a contract with Terrascape for 10K worth of work. I was wondering if everything went okay and were you 100% happy with the job?

If you go to the "Lanscaper Talk" thread, you will see all kinds of suggestions on Landscapers.

Yes, they did a great job. It was only a CYV for $2500, ten tons of copper rock, one fan palm, transplant of a holly tree to the back and weed block laid all around under the rock.

It probably won't help you now, but our estimate was for $2700 but he did the job for $2500 if we paid in cash. I saw no problem since we didn't pay until the job was done. How he handles his books is his business.

We went to his nursery on Hwy 301 and picked out the palm tree he planted in the front. So not to waste anything, we had him move the holly tree that was planted by the builder in the front to the back yard. The tree last year was 6' tall and now it has grown to 10' tall and should provide some shade for the lanai in a year or two.

What is a CYV?

What is a CYV?

It is a Courtyard Villa. They are surrounded by walls/fences, with a smaller area for landscaping out front and some cement pads and grass within the walls. I believe some of them are all grass out back. But it's a smaller area to landscape, so the cost is smaller.

No worries. I had to ask the same question when we were new to the forum and beginning to look at TV.
