Slow Electric Cart - Newbie question

Hi. I'm new to The Villages and to golf cart ownership. My villa came with a Club Car electric cart. It's several years old (2005?) but reportedly was updated with new batteries. Anyway, it's in good shape, but it's slower than most of the other carts on the road. What should I do or have checked first to get it up to speed?

Your cart has the capacity to keep up with a speed of 20 mph. It should be checked out
Properly to find out the reason for your problem. Hopefully it is something simple and a quick correction solves it.
