I'm sure if we had a couple of these roaming the Villages we could cut back on the labor needed for maintenace:eclipsee_gold_cup:

Amazing technology and I'm sure that it will reduce labor costs all over the world which is god and bad. Things like this are one of the reasons that we have 8% unemployment.

This is why all employers should encourage/subsidize "move on up" training for their laborers. Low dollar employees need to be convinced there is a better tomorrow.

The problem is that you can train one employee to run one of those machines which will do the job of 10 low wage employees.

An amazing technology but it won't fit all situations in The Villages. and of course when it comes to umions it will take 15 man crew to operate and maintain one machine

A big reduction in amenites. Amenities like taxes are meant to go only one way.....up and up and up.

But many more to manufacture them.

14.6% when you factor in those who have had to retire early, go to a one-income household only or just give up. 22% when you factor in those who had full-time jobs and can now only find a part-time job.

:agree:

I agree. There would be better jobs created in design and manufactur of this type of machine. We all thought computers would destroy jobs but created a huge IT business. Of course we can't send the jobs to China. :-) :pepper2:

No comment about jobs lost or created...just that these are amazing machines! Thanks for sharing.

Goats...several herds of goats....they keep the grass low and provide fertilizer. Moreover, you can milk them...just make sure it's the female goat you are pulling on...otherwise, you may have made a friend for life. Bhaaaa!

or we can just eliminate the human gate keepers; what do they really do anyway?

They contribute to the flavor of The Villages. There is not just one main reason we are here. There is a synergistic effect created by a myriad of features that lures us in and keeps us here.
