I know we can't have political comments on this forum but I was wondering if anyone knows how to find the politically active people in TV.

try putting a partisan bumper sticker on your golf cart....they'll find you. You'll be able to determine their choice by seeing if they wave with their whole hand or just their finger. :)

Gee Trish. That was funny. But I really am serious. I would like to find politically active people and I do not care what party they are affiliated with.

I'm not down there (:( ) but couldn't you go through the lists of clubs? During our last visit in the spring there were a few active groups that we talked with. All kidding aside, you may find some interesting people by looking at the stickers on their carts.

Here's the Clubs Listing. Some searches will yield some of what you're looking for, shcisamax:

Maybe admin will lift the block now that the election is over. If you want to join and get beat up it's your option.

I know there is a Villages Democratic Club and the notices are in the Thursday pull-out of the paper. There is also a Republican Club with notices in the same pull-out section. The Tri-County Tea Party meets at the American Legion post on Rolling Acres and 466.

The Village Idiots meet on the first of each month. The Villages Drumming Circle meets when the moon is full. (Don't laugh, it is true.)

And I am assuming The Villages Drumming Circle has more peace in their lives than most of us can imagine.

When I was renting in TV last month, I attended a Monday morning meeting of the Civil Discourse Club. This club seemed to a have quite a few politically active people in it. If you look in the weekly rec. news, the week's topic and meeting location is listed. The club alternates each week between meeting at Colony Cottage Rec. Center and the Savannah Center. Only wish I lived in TV to attend their meetings every week as the meeting I attended was quite interesting (and civil).
