So really what is more important in the grand scheme of things - the General's infedelity or what is happening in Israel? I'm thinking Israel engaging in an all out war with anyone will probably impact us more than the General's stupidity. Hope we aren't so focused on that we lose sight of a possible World War III brewing.

both the issues you present are important for different reasons.
The Israel issue is easiest to understand...we think.

The general's indiscretions? It is being pursued with the vigor it has to date as most likely there are ramifications other than the affair.

Yep. There appears to be something real rotten that we DON'T know and I am very suspicious that it was kept from us until after the you know what.

What will be will be. But hang on, we are in for an interesting ride in the next few months. What was it the old soliders said: "Praise the Lord and pass the ammo."

Since January 2012 over 800 rockets have been fired at Israel from Gaza. I think what makes this attack different is that it is the first time they have been targeted at Tel Aviv in quite some time.

The Petraeus scandal may involve issues of national security. Some had some information and papers that they shouldn't have had. Who knows what could have happened there. We have also lost one of our great military and espionage minds so we are possibly weaker as a nation.

I'm not saying that either story is more important then the other, but there is the possibility of far reaching implications that we won't know about for a while yet in the Petraeus situation. Then again, it could possibly be simply a sex scandal and nothing more.

Be really surprised if this Petraeus matter is anything more than a sex affair with some old boys in the General's network looking out for one another and getting caught at it.

The Israeli military actions are far more important.

We have 68,000 US troops in Afghanistan, that's what's really important!

Why can't they both be important? Why is it an either or?

What I think is important in the Petraeus affair is not who is poking who, to me that is just a distraction, what is important is what took place in the time leading up to, during and after the attack, and why we were LIED TO.

Different subject, Patty55. This is the Benghazi Libya attack you are talking about now.

TALTARZAC is correct as this has been presented to us, but anyone who is thinking knows they are connected !!!!

Perhaps it's a "Wag The Dog" kind of thing! Think both are important...most certainly but to focus MORE on one than the other is lop-sided!

Without getting "you know what"...Israel indeed is very important as it definately will affect us...AND the rest of the world!!

Depends on what men Paula Broadwell was talking about whom were held by the CIA at the Libyan Embassy. That doesn't seem to be clear. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2012/11/12/why-did-paula-broadwell-think-the-cia-had-taken-prisoners-in-benghazi/

Have you noticed how UNCLEAR most things are right now ?
