With there being a recent discussion of colonoscopies and colon cancer I thought that some may be interested in todays edition of the Steve Harvey's Show where colonoscopies will be discussed and Steve will undergo a colonsocopy proceedure. It's on from 3-4PM on ABC. On Comcast that's either channel 9 or 431 (HD).

 Thanks Skyguy, but I think I'll pass. I've had three of those procedures and I don't care to see anyone elses!

It will the only time I will be awake while this is done.
I remember watching the first time it was done and fell asleep shortly after it started.
Like watching television and then the television is watching me. :jester:

Watching the actual procedure will be an "enlightening trip" although I'd definitely pass on watching the night before experience :1rotfl:

Did you see the show Joe?I just finished watching the colonsocopy segment (had it recorded) and I think the point was clear enough on the importance of having the procedure done.
I had my first one done at the age of 60 instead of the recommended 50, but should have had it done earlier since what they found took about 5 years to grow to the size it was.
The only think I would have liked to have seen added was a disclosure by the two women at the end of the segment as to what their health and lifestyle were like prior to having their cancers found out. That just might have had a teeny-weeny chance of getting through to those that think they're not at risk or still fear the procedure!
I would have also liked them to show a video of the probe like was done when Dr. Oz televised his... "Journey to the Center of His Girth!" :1rotfl:

It wouldn't do me any good to put in a request because I haven't had a TV in my home since 2005 when I moved into my new home. Could they do it on the radio? Have someone give a description of the procedure along with sound effects?

I tryed to watch it all but there was too much darn talking! I stopped watching after the doctor showed the instrument. That was enough.

You know.... where the aah, umm, train travels through the tunnel, and as a bonus you get to sit in the engineer's seat for an unobstructed view during the fantastic voyage. You should of seen the big smile on Harry's face as the proceedure was going on! He was really into it and having a ball! The only thing that was missing in the video was that... it wasn't broadcast in Smell-a-Vision™!

As fascinating as it was..... once was enough. :smiley:Once is enough for many things in life. For some, even once is too much. Might or might not be because they fear or don't want to hear something that doesn't fit into their objectives or preconceived impressions!

Do you think we could drop this thread? It just brings unpleasant thoughts every time I see the title
