We're going to a polo game on Sunday. Does anyone know if people bring their own snacks, beer, wine, chairs and things like that? What is the best time to get there for a noon game? Should we get tickets in advance?

If this is your first time at polo, it is better to sit in the main stadium. There are several people who will explain the game to you, which will make it more enjoyable. Bring a chair because it usually gets crowded for the 2pm game. No outside food or drinks are allowed in the stadium. They have food for sale and a full bar.
If you want to tailgate, on the opposite side of the field, you can sit in your golf cart and watch the game. You pay a few dollars more for the ticket but you can bring your food and drinks. This Sunday, the first game is at 11 am. You can purchase tickets at the gate---cash only. No need to get there early.
There is entertainment between the two games. There is also a champagne divot stomp at halftime of the 2pm game. Enjoy !
