Certainly, we all have a lot to be thankful for - our families and friends - maybe, health and lifestyle. So, what are you most thankful for?

I am thankful for everything in my life - but especially for coming to the realization that God is in charge not me.

We spend Thursday thinking of all the things we're thankful for, and then go out late Thankgiving night and all day Friday getting more stuff to be thankful for.

I'm thankful my wife doesn't want to go shopping on Friday.

I'm grateful for my relationship with my God. I'm grateful for my wonderful husband who is my best friend. I'm grateful for the medical care we have received here in The Villages that saved our lives in the last year. We are grateful for our family and friends. God is so in charge!:spoken:

On Thanksgiving day 1967 my husband was severely wounded in Viet Nam. We are thankful that God gave him a second chance at life to be married for 31 years and retire together in The Villages.

As most people are - My wife, my son, my family.
The country I live in.
That - although I am not rich - I am also not poor.

I could go on and on but . . .

My family, cherished friendships that have lasted several decades and my health.

I would be poor if I didn't have my health as everything else doesn't matter as much.

Most of all for GOD that makes all things possible.

From a still working TV wannabee...

I'm thankful that I have a job (enough though I grouse about it a lot), and that both of my sisters, their husbands and my two nieces in college all have jobs.

I am thankful that my oldest niece will be graduating from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison next month, one semester ahead of schedule. I am thankful that my 18 year old niece is settling into her freshman year and dormitory life.

I'm thankful that my dad at 82 is still in pretty good health and hopefully that will continue for many more years.

I am thankful that I live in the USA, the greatest country on this earth, and I am grateful for the freedoms we as Americans enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all on TOTV.

I am most thankful for my wife, Violet. In no way do I deserve her, and for her to be in my life is truly a miracle.

In the deepest sense I am thankful that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. In my everyday life I am most thankful for my wife. She is an angel.

I recently heard an Op-Ed piece where the author thought that we cheapend the meaning of Thanksgiving by calling it "Turkey Day". His reasoning was that by calling it Turkey Day we were leaving behind the idea of giving thanks for what we had..no matter what way someone might do it. Had never thought of that before but it made a good deal of sense.

Thanksgiving

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

Thankful for the all the great friends --most of these through the computer and via other ways--I have made over the past 20 years or so and all the confidence they seemed to have placed in me.

I am most thankful for being a cancer survivor and for all the wonderful things and friendships that have entered my life because I had cancer. Sounds kinda odd, doesn't it? But its true...

I'm thankful I was born in the U.S. and had great parents. (What would I be without them?). I'm thankful for the few good friendships I have and The Villages lifestyle. I'm thankful for our economic system (capitalism) and my relationship with (get this) the stock market! Ha! :-) And last, but not least, I'm thankful for being able to enjoy great (drug free) health.

I'm with you. Just visited my oncologist yesterday and it looks like I'll be around for a while longer after 18 months of treatment. Nothing is better than knowing that you've got family members and friends who love you. Oh, and my hair came back!
