We are having relatives coming to visit with their 4 year old son. He is too young for Disney or Legoland. Where do you take your grandchildren? WE have heard there is a Chuck e Cheese in Ocala. Are there any parks or zoos in the area? Thanks for any suggestions.

Check out Uncle Donald's Farm. I have never been there but my niece went there a long time ago. I think you go out Griffin Rd. The sign is somewhere by Perkin's on 441. Don't really know too much about it today - maybe some other posters do. Here's the website: http://www.uncledonaldsfarm.com/

You could try the Homosassa Springs State Park. Nice scenery with bunches of animals to see. Take the pontoon ride from the entrance on Hwy 19.

the indoor play park at chick-fil-a. and anyplace that there are animals, such as Lake Sumter Landing. There is also a playground at Creekside Park at LSL. Venetian Gardens in Leesburg is a lovely park with bridges, and lots of waterfowl all over the place.

All kids love a place like this and Ocala is not far.

Why would you think he is to young for Disney? Just curious. We started taking our daughter when she was 3 and she loved it.

Silver Springs in Ocala. May be a little pricey but not like
Disney. Plus, for a couple dollars more get an annual pass and you can enjoy year round, incuding parking and great shows. This time of year there is a great Xmas light show. My younger GCs liked it much more than Disney or Universal.

You don't even have to leave TV. Kids that age love riding in golf carts, going to the pools, "dancing" at the squares, playground near Lake Sumter, going for a boat ride on Lake Sumter, feeding the ducks and birds near Lake Mira Mar, going over the golf cart bridge to feed those birds and ducks.
We started taking our grandkids to Disney at age 4, they love it. Plan on only visiting Magic Kingdom, new Fantasyland opening Dec. 6th.

We took our 2 1/2 year old to Disney, Magic Kingdom for one day and she loved it. We were at Busch Gardens and she loved that and went on all the rides. She hardly stayed in the stroller and walked most of Busch Gardens. Disney she was in the stroller part of the time.

I don't think he is too young for Legoland. We took our grandchildren there last year and foundit is geared for the younger of the young crowd. I think 4-6 years old is perfect.

Thanks to all who have replied. From the great recommendations for Disney and Legoland, we may need to rethink going there. The other recommendations are also great. Keep those suggestions coming. We're making a list of all the possibilities.
