We need to board our Irish and English Setter for a few weeks. In Seattle, we took them to a dog ranch that had fenced acreage and the dogs could be free all day to play and run and not be in a small kennel environment. Does anyone know of such a place in a 50 mile radius or so of The Villages? Thanks.

Doggie Doo Run Run has a service for boarding dogs in a non-kennel environment. The space is limited though. This is a private 10 acre dog park near the intersection of CR101 and CR103 in Oxford. About 1 mile north of the intersection of CR466 and Belvedere. Belvedere becomes CR101 after crossing CR466 near Southern Trace Shopping Center.

There is a place north of The Villages, in Summerfield, Bedtime Tail Luxury Pet Hotel. We have boarded our Golden Retriever there several times. This one has lots of out space. Also, south of here in Leesburg is Pet Lodge and Spa. Both are online and very good. The one in Leesburg is all inside, with very large rooms for the dogs to play with other dogs, worth a visit to see. In fact it would be worth a visit to both. I would recommend both of them.

I would highly recommend Bedtime Tails in Summerfield. They have a separate area for small and large dogs. Lets them out every couple of hours so by the end of the day they are happily exhausted. And added plus is that Kathy the owner lives next door so she lets the doggies out to do their business one last time around 10:00. Kathy is fantastic and her facility is impeccably clean.

Bottom entry on this web page showing dog parks in or near the Villages. They board dogs at Doggie Doo Run Run but are often full up with boarders from regular dog park customers who are travelling without their pooches.
