I wanted to post an update on The Villages Renaissance Faire for those who took part last year and haven't heard about the Renaissance Faire in January yet.
This years Renaissance Faire is being put on as a fund raiser for the P.R.I.D.E. of The Villages Charter School. It has a whole new committee and will be a whole new event from what it was last year. There will still be Jousting, a Living Chess Board, and Renaissance Entertainers. This year however it will have a more authentic feel to it than it did last year. It will also be two days instead of one (January 5th and 6th)
This year's event is $10 for a weekend pass or $5 for a Sunday (55+) pass. Tickets can be purchased on The Villages Box Office.
The location is still at the Polo Fields, but it has been moved up to the Practice Fields where there is much more room for the event and parking as well.
This years event will also have food vendors and Renaissance merchants. Village Clubs are encouraged to be part of the event as well by having a booth at the event.
