Was just wondering if anyone has any feedback on Sleep Number beds. We've tried all other types with not much luck. I like my side of the bed firm and my wife likes hers to be soft. I've done a little research and while they seem a little pricey, if we could sleep in the same bed and get a good nights sleep it would be worth it. Thanks DGx2

Have used the same one for over 10 years and no problems.
First time you sit on the edge it will seem very soft. But that is because all your weight is in one spot. If you are looking at a king it is two twins so there is a divide in the center.

I have had one for over 15 yrs and love it. My back problems pretty much disappeared once I was able to adjust the firmness to what I needed. They are a bit pricey up front but about 6 years ago I replaced some of the foam parts and had a like new mattress. The pump and air bags have performed perfectly. I have a second one purchased through QVC perhaps 10 years ago and the pump would not maintain the correct pressure. Called them and they replaced it including the shipping for the new one and the return of the old one.
I know some of the newer ones might also have memory foam which I'm not sure if I'd like or not. I've heard it is hotter since you sink into it but have no personal experience. I highly recommend the ones without though.

It's also fun to randomly adjust your wife's side during the night a couple dozen times.

That should tell the tale. They are a well-built mattress that properly inflated/adjusted will give you great sleep. Had two and just bought a third for the guest bedroom.

Inquire on the phone--not in the stores--about refurbished mattresses. Basically, they're a new mattress except for the air pump. Even though a re-furb, they still carry the full warranty. You can save a lot of money, up to 50%. The stores can't get the re-furbed product.

Same here we absolutely love ours. We went through the same thing as you're going through spending all that money on mattresses until my chiropractor recommended the sleep number. Just wish we had heard about it sooner.

We have had our beds since they were known as "Select Comfort". You will not be unhappy if you choose this bed.

Best mattress I've had and we have a memoryfoam up north that I am wanting to replace with a sleepnumber. Just found one in Canada and have to now save for it and move it up the priority list!

I purchased one 2 1/2 year ago from the store in Lake Sumter and love it. No more sore hips or back.
