The Redemption of David Corson / Goss, Charles Frederic (http://infomotions.com/etexts/gutenberg/dirs/1/4/7/3/14730/14730.htm)

Anyone ever read this? What's it about? Saw a character reading it in Boardwalk Empire and as many probably know I play very close attention to little details in many shows, movies, ads, and the like and wonder why these details are there.

I noticed the book too and wondered if there was any significance.

A little trivia, the show is actually shot in Queens, not AC.

It seems to be about the moral turn-around of a religious charlatan much like Elmer Gantry. The character also seemed to be troubled greatly by the moral morass he had gotten into trough graft and corruption within the US Federal government.

I do not remember any redemption in Elmer Gantry though. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/elmer_gantry/
