I am from Livonia, NY, and have owned a villa in The Villages since 2008. I am not yet retired so I do not live there. Hopefully, retirement will be this summer.

The Central NY club was started by folks from Rochester. They have over 500 members. I'm sure you'll meet tons of people from Rochester there. They meet the first Monday of each month at Laurel Manor @ 7:00, and have entertainment at each meeting. Get there at 6:30 so you get a seat.

There isn't a Dec meeting because of the Christmas diner/dance. But go to the Jan meeting and join up. Lots of fun and BYOB.

From Ontario, NY, have a house in Springdale. Will be there next week 'til New Year. Retiring next year - will snowbird after that.

Larry. My husband, was born and raised in Rochrster, went to U of R and his parents live in Brighton They
Have been there ( in the same house) 55 plus yrs
We will be full time in Buttonwood after March 2013 ( or sooner if our house sells)

We have our home in St James. Still working full-time in Rochester (dentist and teacher).

We get down to our lovely home in the Villages on all school breaks. A few more years in Rochester before the villages become our permanent home. Paul & Donna Schwedfeger
