If you have purchased a Kia in the last few years, check out this (https://kiampginfo.com/) website.

I helped my son purchase a 2012 Kia Soul earlier this year. From the beginning he complained about the poor gas mileage. Well, it turns out that Kia overstated the MGP on the window sticker by 6 miles for his car.

Kia is going to pay owners annually for the extra gas they had to purchase. Go the web site above, put in your VIN and mileage, and find out how much they owe you. This wil go on for as long as you own the car.

It affects some Hyundai owners as well. They can get more info at https://hyundaimpginfo.com/ .

Note (from the Kia web site) that they are ....."voluntarily adjusting the fuel economy ratings for approximately 900,000, or 35 percent of, 2011-13 model year vehicles sold through October 31, 2012". So a specific car might or might not be involved.

They're even addressing the situation for former owners of the affected vehicles as well.

Seems as though the companies are trying to do the right thing.
