I don't know. The power was out in Caroline and Buttonwood because I played golf today with girls from both of those areas.

Anybody find out what caused the power outage yesterday morning. We're in Pennecamp and my husband was in Lake Sumter Landing and it was out there too and everything in between. Nothing in the paper explaining cause.

It was probably "euipment failure" at the SECO substation. Everything south of CR466 is underground. No poles to hit. Could be a cable, transformer or circuit breaker failure. May have been an animal or a HUMAN that made "contact" with a high voltage line. (7 years working on line crews. 24 years working as a system operator controlling the local grid.) :mornincoffee:

I called SECO , ( since I haven't pd a first bill & was paranoid that I was shut off ) !!! haha.. For the record, I was told it was a transformer.. the best part , was SECO called me back a few hours later to be sure my power was back on.. Beautiful customer service , from beginning to end.
