This is somewhat complicated, but here goes:

Late this morning I was in my garage with the door open and I heard my neighbor talking to someone, the someone jumped into his truck (bright blue rather beaten up pick up) and stopped at my house. He proceeded to tell me that my palm was very sick, was going to die and needed to be removed and he would do it then and there. I very politely told him I already had an arborist working on the palm and away he went.

I went back to doing my "stuff" and then decided to call my arborist and tell him about the "dying palm". He suggested I call TV to let them know these people were on the loose going from home to home in TV. I then went to talk to my neighbor about this guy. My neighbor told me they had stopped by last week and had pruned his very tall palm, this week the tree guy had forgotten he had done the work, stopped at my neighbors home again and told him that whoever had pruned the tree had not done it properly and he would do it "right" for him, he also told him the tree was dying and would fall over if a hurricane came through. My neighbor being rather shrewd sent him on his way.

This is just a suggestion that if these people stop by your home send them on their way and report them to TV.

Did you know that if a 'tree person' does not clean their cutting tools thoroughly with alcohol they will spread all sorts of nasty pathogens from tree to tree? If they cut a diseased tree and then trim your healthy one they could be introducing infections to your trees. Please be aware of 'fly by night' contractors, or anyone who seems a bit 'fishy'. Do not assume that they are telling you the truth in regard to the health of your trees.

We just bought a home in TV and are about to make the "big" move down to our new home. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the information, like this, I get on TOTV. I can't believe how many people take advantage of others, but I will be very cautious and appreciative of the "heads-up" information I find here.

We got royally scr***d by this company. And another came in a very close 2nd. At this point I would say the best and above the law is Village Palms.

Im sorry you have had problems with every landscaper that you hire. You have had so many on your property and you havent liked all of them? We used KGL Landscaping and now have them doing all the maintenance on our property. They keep it healthy and lush all year long. In fact I believe we used KGL Landscaping after you gave a good review on them on this forum. They have been so understanding and very clean they even pressure wash our home twice a year. Very reputable company. Good prices, they gave us more than we asked for in the price we wanted to pay. Good Luck:a040:
