Tim is a reliable, honest businessman. We have used him for stairs and he also puts in wood to walk on in the storage space.

Tim the Toolman just did mine, had the aluminum stairs installed and also had him add a keypad for garage door. He is coming back in January to install shelving in my garage, on time, and very reliable. Highly recommend him.

Get rid of "the stuff" and you won't need attic stairs. Too hot up there to store anything unless you want to spend $$$ to keep "the stuff" safe up there.

Interesting about Tim the Toolman. Talked to him today. Told him I was going to get the estimates in the paper. He was enthusiastic about giving me an estimate and when I asked for references and whether the stairs were lifetime guaranteed, he was not impolite, but immediately became unenthusiastic and told me that if I was just "kicking tires," he was way too busy and could not do my job.
Called Hill's Gutter. They were more expensive, but they did have a life time guarantee and had the same product. Their add in the paper included a 10% discount, but the woman I spoke to indicated that it was really only $25 off (not 10%). However, she did say they would stand behind the ad. She also told me there was a difference between US made stairs and Mexico made stairs. Everyone buys from the same place. The US made stairs are more expensive by about $25. You need to ask where the stairs were made.
Called M & M and could only leave a message.
Does anyone have any more or different information to add to what I have been told?

Has anyone of these contractors offered fire rated attic stairs ? They do compromise your fire rated ceiling.
