Often your computer is trying to update and that some times will keep your computer from running. Try doing a full update download etc. and see what happens. Never hit the delete button

I've had good luck with The Villages PC Repair, LLC (Angelo Milaro) at 352-234-6972. He will come to your house to work on your PC - seemed very knowledgeable to me..

There must be several options, judging from previous replies.
I've most recently used Aaron Brown, who with his wife runs PC Wizards. 138 S US Hwy 441, Lady Lake, 32159; 352-350-0610; <www.pcwizardsthevillages.com>
He came to my house a day after my call and spent more than 4 hours cleaning out a bunch of c*** in my system. We agreed to a 3-hour charge only (he originally said two hours!) of $50 per hour!
A few weeks later, another issue arose. He, or his wife, fixed it remotely at no charge!
Both seem immensely knowledgeable and eager to help.
I'd recommend them without reservation!

Can't get on wireless internet with desk top PC. But wireless is fine with MAC laptop. It was working on PC and just stopped. I tried reloading but to no avail. Obviously not a techy so need a recommendation to fix this problem. Thanks

(While you're there, be sure to listen to an actual audio testimonial from one of our clients from The Villages!)My wife had serious problems with her computer this morning when she first turned it on. I'll pass on going into a description of the problems, but I will say that I'm pretty sure that they were caused by Microsoft Updates that occurred earlier this morning.
We contacted Eddie Boscana at CflGeek.com who luckily had enough time near the end of his work day to come to our home to see what he could do for us. While here he had to setup a new profile for my wife, recovered her user settings and data and recovered outlook data services. He even offered to stop back tomorrow if we find any more problems that could popup.
We've used another geek in the past, but weren't impressed with the results. However, we will definitely use Eddie again and are even planning on bringing him back soon for PM and minor issues.

We just used CFLGeek at CFLGEEK.com
I had so many problems and questions re: our tech needs--and CFLGeek addressed them all -- relocating the Comcast box from one tv to another, installing Netflix (more complicated than it sounds..), tuning up my computer and explaining to me all those things that I've had questions about. I would suggest that every time you encounter a problem w/your computer or wonder how something works, scribble it down. That's what I did. I had my list "all ready for Eddie," and he took care of everything.

Recently I used Eddie from Cflgeek 352-610-1768 with computer and Wifi radio reception problems. If I ever needed computer and network services I would certainly recommend them. He diagnosed and corrected the problems in a timely manner. Eddie has been providing computer diagnostic services with a staff of 7 for the past 3 years.

I believe the first "personal computers"...Apples, Commodores, et. Al....came out right about 1976. IBM put one out...not yet called the "PC"...even a bit earlier.

Since so many recommended Cfl Geek, I thought I'd give them a try. I can't be happier with the results. My computer was cleaned up of so much spyware, it works like a brand new computer. The appointment was made promptly (next day). Brian arrived at scheduled time and is probably one of the most knowledgeable techs I have used since moving to the Villages. I believe I've had four. So in closing, I too, want to highly recommend Cfl Geek.

Brian from CFL Geek did a great job for me yesterday with a wi-fi connection. Excellent work, nice guy and will certainly call them again.
And: I found out that Brian, and probably the other geeks, is very knowledgeable with wi-fi connections to the TV; i.e. Amazon Fire, Hulu, Netflex - and on and on.

As I lived through most of the Personal Computer revolution, here are some of my recollections. I began my journey with computers in 1976 by learning to program a Wang 2200 T then MVP mini system using Wang basic. The Apple II first appeared in 1977 and was difficult to obtain because of tight supplies. I purchased one in late 78.
I began selling the Atari 400 and 800 computers against the Apple systems in 1980 as Apple wouldn’t let me sell their systems in the small community of Urbana. In 1983, I had great success selling the CP/M based Kaypro II against the Osborne. I continued sell the Kaypro models including the IV, 10, Robie and Kaypro PC until they were killed by the IBM PC with DOS which was first introduced in 1981.
It brings back memories of an exciting time that I was privileged to enjoy. However, I am looking forward to my retirement from my small computer shop in the same location where it all began some thirty or more years ago.

Ahhhh....Keypro II -- brings back really great memories of going to our monthly local Kaypro user group meetings where I learned how to upgrade it from 2.5 Mhz to 5 MHx processor (woo-hoo!!). A buddy and I each bought one to work part time writing dBase programs -- which were saved to its 5 1/4 floppy. Then IBM came out with their XT. Within 2 months the group was done and most were building XT clones.
Thanks for the flashback.

Wow - Wang, have not heard that name in a long time. We had Wang's, little black boxes with a tiny screen. We also had a local Sheraton Hotel where An Wang (actually Dr. An Wang) used to have lunch in the lounge every day! Now I'm dating myself ...............
In our immediate area, Digital killed Wang. Digital was a great company and I had many friends who worked there.
