The Villages web site now has a web cam at Brownwood which is nice to see. The caption underneath the web stream containing the link to switch to the Lake Sumter Landing web cam or the Spanish Springs web cam is missing. Anyone know how I can get the caption back to switch back and forth between the web cams at LSL, SS and Brownwood?

Have fun with this one. You may get a message to install a Axis program and just click on it and away you go. You will not get that message again.

Live view - AXIS Q6035-E Network Camera (http://camera3.thevillages.com/view/viewer_index.shtml?id=91)

Click on the square under the window to put the image full screen. ESC key will take you back.

Anyone taking bets on how long it will take before the image is made more wide angle and not so close up.

When I do this, I only get Brownwood. No Icons. If I click on my link to SS I only get SS no icons.

Never mind. I clicked on the broken box at the top righthand side of the frame and got the three boxes.

I noticed that too. Today the web cam windows are larger, but the links to switch back and forth are missing.
Also , I can't find the link to the newest Brownwood Web Cam.

Also , I can't find the link to the newest Brownwood Web Cam.When you click the temperture link on The Villages homepage, does a separate window open showing one of the cams?

If so did you try refreshing the page then look at the top of the window to see if there are three logos for SS, LSL & Brownwood are there?

If you did and the three graphics are there, click on the cam you want to go to.

I couldn't find it at first and had to refresh like I described to overide the old page stored on my computer. Hope this works for you!

Hit the F5 key to refresh the screen and they should appear. Also the next time you go to that web page the icons will be there and you will not have to hit it again.

Are the cams for LSL and SS in colour, and the cam for Brownwood in black and white? Or is it just that it is raining tonight, it is after midnight, and everything is blurry anyway.

I usually use Google Chrome. Tonight I had to clear my cache of all web sites (including TOTV) I had saved on Chrome. Once I refreshed The Villages - Florida's Friendliest Retirement Hometown - New Home Sales, Home Resales, Build Your Dream Home, Brownwood Paddock Square (http://www.thevillages.com), I was able to see the icons for the web cams for all 3 squares. Yea!

I'm getting the same thing. LSL and SS web cams are in color; Brownwood web cam is black and white. When I looked at the Brownwood web cam earlier on Thursday it was in color. Weird.

It's a miracle. The Brownwood Cam has changed from black and white to color. Must be something to do with the Mayan calendar.

Here in Cleveland, Ohio we got our first snowfall of the season. Each day, I view the LSL and SS web cams and dream of the day that I will be a Villages permanant resident. It is GREAT to see another web cam up and running now. Im counting down the years. With 10 more to go in my career, and I will retire ten years from this month. Not a day goes by when I dont think about TV or click on a web cam. See ya there soon!! :a040:

if you go to the lake sumter webcam:
Live view - AXIS 213 PTZ Network Camera (http://camera1.thevillages.com/view/view.shtml?id=3608&imagepath=/mjpg/video.mjpg&size=1)

you can get to the webcams in the other squares just by changing the number in the web address to 2 or 3 [2=spanish springs; 3=brownwood]

it's ok to click to install the Axis program - it should just show up once - and prob on each webcam

don't forget to look at the icons below each cam pic and click on the third one from the left - looks like a square with an arrow in it - it will enlarge the pic to full screen! then press the keyboard 'esc' key to return to original size.

thanx to VG for posting that info some time ago!

if you read this VG - hope all is well! :)

I'm like you always thinking of TV, reading the forum and watching the web cams. Our countdown to retirement began 5 years ago. We have one year left and just bought a house in Collier a month ago. The first four years we were counting went by quickly. Now that we own a home days seem like weeks.

By the way I lived in Cleveland for many years. Beechwood off of Chagrin Blvd. Loved it there. I hear the downtown area has changed a lot.
