Anyone can see both sides are passionate and feel strongly about what they believe for good reasons to them.
But on this eve of peace and love let us not talk about weapons that can kill.
Let us think of our children when they were young and our parents too and think about the joy of just being alive today either here in this wonderful place or hoping to be here soon. Let us hold close the good stuff and try to do some tiny good thing for someone else, a smile or a wink would suffice.
Let us be grateful for this moment of life and the opportunity to do what ever our concience tells us so that when we leave this place it will be a little bit better.
Let's find someone to share a nice bite to eat and find a little something to give to someone we love.
Merry Christmas. I am proud to know every sincere one of you, even if I don't know your name.

Gracie is right! If the English and the Germans managed to have a Christmas Truce during WWI, then there is no reason why the debate can't take a few days off in the spirit of Christmas. At the same time though, let us be grateful, and not forget how fortunate we are that we live in a country where we're we are able to have such debates. Merry Christmas to all!

Whatever holiday you may celebrate, may you all know peace, love and joy!!!!

Graciegirl: Excellent post and couldn't agree more. We are in Springfield, Illinois with our family. Personal gift exchange tonight and Santa comes in the morning for the grandkids. . Every Christmas Eve (out tradition was to open gifts Christmas Eve) I think of my parents who so enjoyed this time of the year. Merry Christmas to all.
