Because of the drastic changes to PCP in 2013, I have changed to Optimum Advantage Plan. Does anyone have them and are the satisfied with the plan?

This is strange because I just did the opposite. I changed from Optimum to PCP. My reason is because Optimum no longer refunds the full amount of the medicare premium. And PCP refunds $99.90. Being in good health, I look for the biggest medicare-premium refund along with no co-payment for regular check-ups etc..
I was with PCP before Optimum and I was satisfied at that time.

I'll take PCP over others any time.

Was on PCP for the 1st time this year. When the changes came, we looked at the other plans just to compare but decided to stay with PCP. NONE could compare!

I agree! 24,000,853%! PCP is the best. Ever! they have an office right here in the villages so I don't even mess with anybody on the phone just go over to Spanish Springs they'll take care of you there. I has my annual physical Thursday. $0.00.

Co pays are not a bad thing, when compared to final price you pay for medical care??!!!

We also switched from Preferred care to Optima--everything has been ok so far except we must now see Dr Perich for eye care from Mid Florida eye--trying to change this now!

Preferred Care is fine if you are healthy. But, when that changes - whoa. Every test and procedure need a referral. Answers are not timely. My husband stayed in the hospital an extra day waiting to hear if he had been approved for a rehab center after cardiac bypass. It was denied. All of our physicians have stated PCP is hard to work with. Also, home health and home PT. And so many docs don't accept this advantage plan.

Jumping in again....PCP has two plans. I'm on the diabetic/heart one...so far so good folks! We also go to the Florida Health Clinic aka Belleview Family Practice. I'm impressed I must say!! We used to have a plan that we paid a premium and the co-pays were expensive on drugs. We didn't see bills with specialists or a hospital stay but we figured out the costs vs the what would happen "if" we changed! PCP won by a long shot!!!
One has to do what one has to do. BUT to diss a plan just because it might not work for you....well it's like when folks may have the same illness---EVERYONE'S is different depending on the body, meds etc. and comparing!
Somewhere down the line perhaps we too may change our minds but we've been satisfied customers for two years. It's an "to each his own..."!!
