What do you do on New Years Eve? Go out, stay home and go to bed before midnight, have friends over for a party?? Do you cook a big dinner New Year's Day?? We usually treat it like any other night, however, this year we will have friends over for dinner but still not stay up until midnight.

this year new year's eve will see me with some wine, hors d'ourves and a bit of dick clark's rockin eve while i organize the 'stuff' i am bringing back to the villages about a week later!
new year's day will be a breakfast of pannetone french toast with a mimosa or two and then the couch will claim me for the rose bowl parade! and the afternoon will see me prepare a prime rib roast with yorkshire pudding, baked potato, and string beans almondine! beverage of choice - rose regale.

I don't know. I might call a few friends and neighbors and see if they don't have plans to come over for a few snacks and a glass or two of some bubbly.
We have had several dinner parties lately and I feel over partied right now.
I will see what Sweetie and Helene think.
Jammies and pizza for the three of us is a possibilty too.

Since I am in CT and not in TV, I plan on watching "The Honeymooners" marathon starting at 11 PM into the New Year. Ending the old year and starting the new year with laughs is a must.
If I was in TV. I would be Evans Prairie for the singles party. :sigh:

The new City Fire in Brownwood is having a great night of live music with Goldyrox and will be open til 1am! Christina, the singer with Goldyrox, has an unbelievable voice. She puts her heart and soul into every song. Will be there with a group of 24.

Just stay home and pray I don't have to hear what happened in 2012 one more time. We lived it..It is no surprise but a good "filler" for newspapers so
they don't have to report real news..:blahblahblah:

Group of 20 neighbors went to City Fire; some dressed in tuxes and the rest (including me) in a suit.
Great time and my wife won $250. at Victoria jewelers.
Next morning we all walked down in our PJ's to our neighbors for brunch.
way too much fun.

Now that it's too late to report on my plans for yesterday evening, please know that I usually avoid going out in public on NYE - I'm really not a fan of crowds of drunks!
My New Year's Day is generally dedicated to making sure that my new year's calendars all agree as to social events, doctor's appointments, travel arrangements, support group schedules, TOTV luncheons at Crisper's, etc., etc., etc.
And, of course, some bubbly usually accompanies my chores!
I wish all the best of all things in 2013!

my my ..a little presumptious i say.....or maybe you just hang around the wrong people or go to the wrong places, for there are some who can go out and enjoy the festivities without being ____________.
Glad to hear your calendar is up to date....and Happy New year!!!

City Fire, as always, was awesome. Great friends, delicious food & lots of fun. Love the gaming tables. Played a lot of Black Jack. We had a group of 24. It was a fun time !! Already have the same tables booked for next year that we have every year.

We had the 2 tables of 10 next to the black jack table and had a great time with the dealer.
She was funny and made sure we won.
One guy (not our group) came in a gray tux, mask, top hat and spatz and carried it off superbly.
Bonny, prob. saw you there but had no idea.
As for "drunks"; did not notice any just everyone having a great time.

We had the high tops inside right next to the side door. I spent alot of my time at the Black Jack table closest to the side door. The dealer was a hoot & a half. Lots of fun cheating going on. LOL
Nope, I didn't see any drunks either. We didn't leave until past 1:30.
It was a blast.
