Happy New Year to all.
So, now that kids and grandkids have returned home it is time to dismantle the tree. I've been searching for information on trash pick-up and recycling to no avail. What do we do with our trees? Is there a web site we can go to for information? Any help would be appreciated.

Here's one of my favorite websites for recycling.
Just type in Christmas trees(or whatever you are looking to recycle) and your zip code.
Christmas Trees near 32162 - Recycling Centers - Earth911.com (http://search.earth911.com/?what=Christmas+Trees&where=32162&list_filter=all&max_distance=25&family_id=&latitude=&longitude=&country=&province=&city=)
According to the link, Christmas trees will be picked up curbside during the first two weeks of January on your Yard Waste recycling day
The Villages Curbside Recycling Program - Earth911.com (http://search.earth911.com/program/Q1RQNVJZXFhDXA/?what=Christmas+Trees&where=32162&max_distance=25&country=US&province=FL&city=The+Villages®ion=Sumter&postal_code=32162&latitude=28.91987282189&longitude=-81.994271187787&list_filter=all)

That is good, we like our tree to be up as long as possible. Put it up Christmas Eve so it is still fresh. We keep it wartered. Now, before we move, I just drag into woods as a shelter for the birds. It decomposes in the woods adding acid to the soil.

Nice idea. Unfortunately we are a little short of woods that are a dragable distance here in TV.
