We were there yesterday for the tour. Fantastic tour. Our tour guide was JT, the owner. We had brunch at Spring Garden Ranch. Ok food, and excellent $3 tour of their trotter and pacer training facility. We stopped on the way back at the Spillway Grill on 44. Funky little fish camp. Just had drinks and sat around the outside fire pits. Fish and chips looked good.

Great tour, we went in November, JT also our guide. Sorry no ideas for restaurants. Where in NJ are you from? We're Ocean Co.

We visited Stetson Mansion last week. Well worth the trip. There was an ad in the Daily Sun for Stetson Mansion with a 10% discount for lunch or dinner at the Brickhouse Grill, located in the heart of downtown DeLand--about 2 miles from Stetson.

I like the Brickhouse. We had good food there in the fall

We ate in Deland last year at a place in downtown that was at basement level in a plaza on the main drag (CR 44) - nice place.

By chance do you remember the name of the place? Last time I went poking around basements the cops came.

Can't remember yesterday - - -

It's on the north side of main street; has an open staircase from the plaza down to an open seating area and behind that is the enclosed dining area. It's a well known place in Deland and fairly easy to spot when walking down the downtown main street on the north side.

Thanks, I'll look for it and have someone keep an eye out for the cops.
