From carpet to ?

I watch too many of those "fix it up and sell it" home decorating shows.,, so many ideas. Having removed carpet from our bedroom, and repaired the cement floor, we need a company or individual who will put a poly decorative finish on the cement? Folks who do driveways are not interested in an interior floor job.

Why wouldn't you put ceramic tile over the cement floor? A diaganol design is nicer than straight, in my view.

I have never heard of having a cement floor - even with a poly coating and a design - for an interior room (especially a bedroom).

Stained concrete floors are a new trend in some cases!!! It's attractive! Also concrete counter tops sometimes are an item used. I love to watch HGTV with shows that hi-light reno's.

Let us know if you find someone to do this in your home!!! Then maybe even show photos of the "after".

NotGolfer :) This is why my husband would prefer I not watch HGTV .... LOL The Design Brothers are fabulous to watch (in so many ways) and their designs utilizing cement are what got me interested in something like it for our office. We already have tile on the diagonal in the rest of the house. Husband thought carpet was "nice for the bedrooms" and has since regretted the choice However, I was so thrilled he wanted to move to TV, I did not care about the carpet choice.
