Is anyone following the Jodi Arias death penalty murder trial on Court T.V./Tru T.V.???? Vinny Politan hosts most of the show..........

Since the location is Maricopa County, Arizona.....which is on Mountain Time, the full court day is not seen in its entirety as it was during the trial of Casey Anthony which was held in Orlando...........however, it has been said that it will rival the Casey Anthony trial.........

I predict she will grow very old in jail...........although she has predicted that no jury will find her guilty.

Always fascinating to watch the prosecuting attorney vs. the defense attorney.

I've read a couple of articles in the newspaper and my impression is that she is a very disturbed young woman. Her story changed a lot from her initial version. Her having dinner with a friend the day after and appearing very normal to her friend is very disturbing to me.

Jodi's personality is very similar to Casey Anthonys. She lies constantly and is extremely convincing each time she changes her story. She is purposely dressed as a demure and vulnerable female, right to her ugly glasses. She is scary and evil. Sadly, all it takes is one juror to feel sorry for the poor little helpless female.

I agree but she is far from helpless as she murdered this young man instead of walking away like a normal person should have.

Oh I forgot, she is not normal or in the words Gracie might use, "she ain't right".

I was going to say the same thing!! Reminds me of Casey Anthony. Never know about these trials today?? Guilty without a doubt!!!

I have a "front row seat" at my tv and/or computer. I am fascinated with Jodi's behaviors and how she refuses to bend when evidence shows the opposite. She really makes up some stories on the spot. I worry about some of the questions the jury have asked - like do his roommates have an albi. Why would they even ask that when Jodi has plead guilty already due to domestic violence. I sure hope they do not get her off on that plead. Thank goodness she is not in Fl for her trial. Her and Casey Anthony should be put in the same cell.

Like Ted Bundy she is evil disguised as a young pretty vulnerable young woman. She actually took pictures of her victim while he was dying, probably as a trophy, cleaned up and went out on a date with her boyfriend.

Exactly! She pled guilty after numerous creative lies. The questions the jury is asking seem like they're looking for someone else to blame. Someone like a roommate who helped her with the execution. How can she claim self defense when she stabbed him repeatly, sliced his throat and shot him? And then went to meet another boyfriend.

Has anyone watched the Prosecutor, Juan Martinez, in action????
They had warned he was like a pit bull when in action........
At first, he was "all over the board".....but guess he knows what he's doing. We have a friend and neighbor who was a prosecutor but he is nothing like that. Ditto for a nephew who is an attorney.

"It seems you have problems with your memory. Is this a longstanding thing? Since you started testifying?" Martinez asked.

"No it goes back farther than that. I don't know even know if I'd call it a problem," Arias said.

"How far back does it go? You don't want to call them problems, are they issues? Can we call them issues? When did you start having them?" he asked in rapid succession. "You say you have memory problems (http://abcnews.go.com/US/jodi-arias-prosecutor-pedophilia-charge-tootsie-pop-fantasy/story?id=18558449#), that it depends on the circumstance. Give me the factors that influence that."

"Usually when men like you or Travis are screaming at me," Arias shot back from the stand. "It affects my brain, it makes my brain scramble."

"You're saying it's Mr. Martinez's fault?" Martinez asked, referring to himself in the third person.

"Objection your honor," Arias' attorney finally shouted. "This is a stunt!"

What a trial! I have a friend visiting from Nova Scotia, and she loves to watch live trials. So yesterday we watched the Pit Bull in action. Jodi Arias at times seemed to be enjoying herself! Her strategy seems to be slow and a little sassy to make the Prosecutor lose his temper and appear to be a bully. If she finds even one sympathetic Jury member, she may walk free, even through she admits that she stabbed the victim and shot him and slit his throat.

Just read about her tesimony this morning and I stil think she is guilty as charged. She is also all over the place and her lack of memory is just a ploy to get one person to believe that she is not herself.

Maybe she is angling for an insanity plea and will try to get the minimum sentence or even less.

You actually have to see her in action to get the full impact of her deviant personality. She is smart, cunning, arrogant, and passive-aggressive. She is a self-confessed murderer. But she even made the prosecutor laugh yesterday with one of her sassy little come backs. I think she is actually enjoying having all eyes on her.

Killing of Travis Alexander - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Travis_Alexander)

Have not been watching this at all but it does look interesting. Never had a chance to get on a jury of a homicide. Just a drug bust in CA (Santa Rosa in Sonoma County) and then an employment dispute about a town in Lake County's police using Spanish in their official reports in a Federal Court in Ocala. Whenever I mention that I have a J.D. I almost immediately get bumped by some side. Believe the Ocala Federal judge thought I was hiding something so he dismissed me or one of the attorney teams did. Could not really hear what they were saying in the Federal courtroom in Ocala. Of course, my telling them the truth and nothing but the truth probably would have had me talking for twenty hours or more and I would have needed extensive files to back up what I was saying. So I just gave as little in answers as possible. After all, the trial was about an employment dispute in a sheriff's office and not me. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2010-01-28/news/os-verdict-favors-clermont-police-20100128_1_federal-court-clermont-police-department-clermont-officials

Not sure how objective I could be in a homicide case like that of the killing of Travis Alexander.

Casey Anthony seems to have been in a family with very deep problems IMHO so I cut her a little slack. Still believe that she covered up the accidental death by drowning of her daughter with the help of her father.

But, did Anthony take the stand? I don't think she did. In this case this woman is digging a nice big hole for herself and although I think she is annoying the prosecuting attorney out of his head, I think he is weaving a web of her deceit. She can hardly pretend to be a poor little frightened girl who is abused by "you big men shouting at me" type, after the way she is responding on the stand.

She is one sick cookie, but what makes a supposedly decent young man get involved with a woman of this type - oh silly me, kinky, really kinky sex!

Like most psychopaths she is highly manipulative and intelligent. I think she feels that she is smarter than everyone and enjoys engaging the prosecutor. She now has a smirk on her demure face; she enjoyed the killing and appears to be enjoying the cross examination. A true deviant personality.

You are right on target with you observations. Did you notice that he almost began speaking to her in a kinder way??? She draws them in. (Unless the judge advised him to be less combative during one of those sidebars).

I always can see "both sides of every story" and I, myself, was actually feeling sorry for her during the defense phase...........it really is a classic example of her wanting love in all the wrong places..........the older man with the son said that she was a wonderful partner to him.

I've met only kind and helpful LDS members in my life; never a Mormon like Travis Alexander. However, as my husband keeps saying.......she didn't have to keep going back to him. I do believe she was trying to please him in order to become his wife (even got baptized for him), but when she found out he was "courting" the pure young women to become his "potential" WIFE........that's when she must have gone berzerk. Is that a word?

She even said she thought he was "courting her back". The whole trial is sad to me. I feel sorry for both families having to sit through that testimony.

I think she will get LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE.

I agree with your last sentence. I've felt all along that little Caylee drowned and George had a part in the cover up.

Does anyone know why Casey was kept "alone" in a separate room/cell in the three years leading up to her trial.......while Jodi Arias was in the general population at her jail?

Typically the prosecutor, especially in high profile trials, works with another prosecuting attorney at his side. Is there a reason why Mr. Martinez handles the entire prosecution alone? Mr. Flores, the lead detective, is the only assistant Martinez has.

She sounds more like a narcissist who loves the attention and who is also probably someone without a conscience. Not crazy though.

Child killers are usual held in extremely low esteem by other inmates in prisons and/or jails. And, the local and national media pretty much held Casey Anthony as the murderer of her daughter, Caylee, so that she could enjoy her party girl lifestyle without having to take care of her daughter.

Jodi Arias, sad to say, probably has a lot of status is prison with her version of killing her abusive boyfriend. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/02/17/jodi-arias-s-baffling-defense-strategy.html

You are correct as far as Jodi Arias being a narcissist.

I looked up sociopath and psychopath which they keep calling her.....and from what I read she doesn't quite fit either.....which are similar.

She does seem to fall into the category of narcissist.

We watch it on Tru TV's "In Session" which is excellent about NOT going to commercial breaks at all during testimony..........but then in the later afternoon it switches to CNN and they seem to have a commercial every few minutes and we miss important testimony.

It's getting us through all these snow and ice storms, another one today.
Very very slippery out..........and hubby has a doctor visit in North Adams, Massachusetts this morning.

I do not condone murder for any reason..........however, he was not a saint. Not sure if I believe the fact that she doesn't remember what actually happened........but she seems to fill the bill of an emotionally abused person........unless she's a GREAT ACTRESS.....which also would fit into the narcissism characterization..........she definitely wanted to please him and even when he was abusive, she painted a glowing picture of Travis........she was afraid to anger him..........or so it seems. I think she finally snapped (especially after she found out he was going to Cancun with a "new" demure pure Mormon gal.....one of the several he was checking out to be his future wife..........while Jodi, who wanted to be his wife, was tossed aside (in her mind). No reason to murder, but that's how it seems to me. Again, she was looking for love in all the wrong places.

Even those of us who naturally do not condone violence or murder, like the way she is going back at the prosecutor.........he's all over the place and back and forth......even I am getting confused what year he's talking about.

Also, we cannot believe they do not give her lunch when all the others go to a restaurant. Can't her own defense team provide soup and a sandwich or orange juice, etc...??????

I think she will be convicted of murder but get a life sentence.
Not sure if "parole" is on the table at all????? Her life is ruined, by her own hands.

p.s. I read the other day that her fellow inmates hold her in high esteem; they say they've never seen her angry.....that she's always kind and helpful.
Her new life !!!
