That would be a shame.
We ate there Dec 31, quite a busy night, and the manager was very helpful w our special request of low sodium in our dinner.
Who, when did you hear this rumor?

My wife and I are kind of partial to TGI Fridays. We met at a diffrent one years ago, and have been together ever since. Hope they stay around, because it reminds us of that time.

We love T.G.I Fridays. We have eat in 3 of there restaurants in Florida and love the food. Hope its just a rumor. :mmmm:

LOL Rumors, rumors...... LOL.......Like the Changes at Cane Garden 'Rumor" This one came from multiple sources that would know. If I named the sources it wouldn't be a rumor. I also like Fridays , love their sizzling chicken, so we will watch and see what unfolds.

I to like Fridays and heard that a while back. I asked the manager comment was that's news to me we're doing great. Heard another rumor the other night. Was told SweetBays in TV was closing. Yesterdays paper said there are stores closing but NOT in TV. Rumors. Myans said the World was ending. I don't think it did.

I knew Cane Garden was going public.......a rumor?? Just things I hear, Lighten up folks, we're all friends. If there is a problem have the moderator disallow all " rumors" :) ;)

the manager of tgi fridays is a woman. her name is renee and she does a great job running that place. we go every week and havnt heard anything like that at all.

You first posted in October of 2011 that Cane was going private and that the lessees of Bonifay would acquire it. Happened more than a year later with other lessees. Lighthouse was another rumor you posted, except many of the regulars knew about that months before you apparently did. So, we'll just have wait for your latest to happen, or not happen.

Like I said, lighten up friends, maybe " rumor " was the wrong term. I should have said " Interesting conversation I had with Village restaurant people today". This isn't hearsay over the bar but a conversation with people that would would be in a position to know that's all. So if your not interest in this type of info don't read the blog, simple, some people may find it interesting,some may not.
Do you really wan't to drag this into something bigger than it is???? Not me.

Heard some other interesting restaurant tidbits tonight but I'll let you guy's get some rest :wave:

T G I Fridays is closed! Passed by the beginning of Nov. 2013 and it is boarded up. I have not heard why.

Hope that if they're 'on their way out', it's just to a different location as we've been by it several times and just never stopped in. They always looked busy.

You should also check with the mowing crew that cuts your neighbors lawn and the guy who reads the gas meter and and rumor central!
Wait maybe you are right, most employees know the details of the lease agreement where they work......................

The 'rumors' are just getting really unbelievable! TGI Fridays probably closed because there food was not cutting it and the service was not good!

First. NO corporation of the size of TGI Friday would agree to 75 percent of it's profits going to the landlord. That is preposterous.

If you are meaning to establish that the Morses do collect a share of the profits in most of their commercial rentals, I would have to guess that they do. It is done everywhere in areas where it can be done. Common in Malls etc.

It isn't underhanded but it isn't 75 percent for danged sure. That statement seems inflammatory to me.

I heard that they were putting in a Brazilian cut salon in there. I mean if ya want to start rumors you have to know HOW. Don't cha know. ;)

Some of our friends always went there because they always asked for the same server and the person gave them cheap drinks and cheap appetizers. if more servers did that who knows how that affected profits.
How did they give them cheap drinks & appetizers ? The drinks get ordered at the bar. The drinks get rung in. If they order food, they have to ring in the orders for the kitchen. Can't change the prices on the computer when they ring them in. Thursdays, several appetizers were $3.00.
