Yep, for the past 20 years and for all my baby Schnauzers. I put a party hat on them and buy snowball cupcakes and put one candle in them and then sing. My family thinks I'm nuts. I have one picture from the 1990's on my refrigerator where I was celebrating with all 3 dogs at the dining room table, all with hats and one cupcake for Lacy... They don't like the hats very much but they love to eat the cupcake after. Yep, you can say it,,, I'm nuts!! :loco:

We know his birthday-- or someone's guess of it as he is a rescue-- but do not make a big fuss out of it. He might get a second trip that day to Doggie Doo Run Run or something like that.

Emma and I went to the beach for her 6th birthday this Jan 13. She loved running on the beach and having chicken for dinner, and so did I!

Guilty!!! We do the cupcake and candle as well. And since our dog is a rescue and we do not know her B-Day, we use the day we picked her up and brought her home. Been a joyous day ever since then.

Who rescued who???

Back in the day I had Birthday parties for them at the barn, friends would bring their dogs, I'd buy ice cream cake, they'd get gifts. Now I just have quiet family parties.

Four days till my dog's birthday-she'll be 13 on January 24.

Do you have her outfit planned yet for her 13th birthday?

Kind of, her Easter dress will have to do.

You do realize that if we were still on LI this would be her Bat Mitzvah.:loco:

Since her birthday is after mine, I kinda like to see what she buys me. If the little mutt is cheap (not often) than she can expect my cheapness to show!

The advantage of receiving first.

And no, sorry, it is definitely better to receive than give !!!!
