I always just thought that was a wise crack meaning any given opera wasn't over until then. Didn't know it was anything specific. I looked it up on Google, and still don't know. Be curious to know what you have to say.

OK, let me see if I can come up with a couple of questions:

1. Who starred in "Highway Patrol"?

2. On "Richard Diamond, Private Eye", you only saw the legs of David Janssen's secretary, Sam. Whose legs were they?

3. In Captain Midnight, what was his sidekick's name, and how did he spell his name?

4. Why did none of the Cartright brothers look anything like each other?

5. Why did Jack Webb's delivery sound so stiff on Dragnet?

6. What was Ozzie's job on Ozzie and Harriet?

7. In what city was "The Life and Times of Wyatt Earp" set? What was his job? What was wrong with saying he had that job?

8. Who was Quick Draw McGraw's sidekick?

9. What connection is there between the "Burns and Allen Show" and "The Flintstones?"

10. On the "Bob Cummings Show", what was his assistant's name? Who played her?

OK, finally can anyone explain the following things from "Gunsmoke" (fyi, I cannot)

A. Why did they have Matt Dillon be a US Marshall, when clearly his job was more Town Marshall. At the time, 1870, there were only 14 US Marshall's in the whole country.

B. Why did Matt always wear spurs. He was mostly in town, and even when riding his horse, never had the need for spurs?

C. Why did Matt never have any deputies...until near the end when Festus finally was promoted.

D. Why did Matt have tie down's on his holster, when he never tied them, including almost all the opening gun fight scenes?

E. In the Longbranch you almost always hear a piano playing, but in all the episodes I've seen, I've never seen one in there. Has anyone else?
And finally:

F. Did Matt and Kitty ever "get together?"

Early in my career I had the good fortune to interview Milburn Stone (Doc Adams) near the end of his life. (He grew up in the tiny town of Burrton, Kansas.) I asked him about why Matt and Kitty never seem to kiss, or really show any affection. He said it was a family show. (Apparently OK to kill an average of 3 people per show, but never kiss.) But, he said, "everyone knew what Matt and Kitty were doing up stairs." It was a great line. And I enjoyed talking with him greatly.

From Wagner's Ring Cycle, three operas: (Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung).

Also, it was the role Bugs Bunny played opposite Elmer Fudd as Seigrid in "What's Opera Doc?" Personally after 40 years in classical music radio, I like the Bugs Bunny version best!

The great voice of Mel Blanc. I remember there was a picture of a spotlight on an empty microphone with all the characters he voiced. I believe he had just passed away. It was in a Disney store in Manhattan.

I wish I had bought it.

Yes. There is a youtube clip of Mel being on Jack benny Show that you can look-up. I recently was flipping through the channels and there was a cartoon show that I had hoped would be voiced by him but wasn't. I was very disappointed as Mel was one of a kind that added so much richness to those cartoons. I think he did voiceovers for about a hundred different characters. We will never see another Mel again.

This was an actual painting for $150 at the time. I was going to buy it for my son. I will wait until I get to TV to buy this poster/painting or else I will have to lug it down. hopefully, that won't be long.

Thanks for your offer.
