Is there a Travel Club for Seniors in The Villages? I like to travel, but my husband doesn't. I'd like to go with a group of like-minded people, especially from The Villages!

Have you found a group? Yes it would be better to travel with people from TV. I also would like to travel with a group without the husband. Perhaps there is a travel group just for women?

how about starting one? the travel club i know of consists of people sharing their travel experiences and showing slides, etc, at meetings, but i don't know if they do group travel...sounds like a good place to start, though! i am taking my daughter and two granddaughters on a trip to italy this winter and one of my girlfriends decided to sign up for the same trip, an excursion through Theresa Odom at Expedia Cruise Ship Centres next door to walmart off 466...why not join us? if we get 10 people we get a very good discount...we already have five in my little group! pm me for more info.

Here's a suggestion for you. I belong to The Shillelagh Travel Club in Vienna, VA. It is a group of 50+ seniors who have and are travelling all over the world. I believe there are members here in The Villages who travel with the group. You can go on their website TheShillelaghTravelClub and look at their on-line brochure to get an idea of their forthcoming trips. Send them an email and they will mail you one of their brochures with everything for this and next year. They are a great club, nice people and great to travel with. I've been a member for the last seven years and didn't know a soul when I joined and have always a had a wonderful experience with them.
