Just called to get a price on having seat belts installed in our 2011 Yamaha cart. Was asked if the cart was purchased from them. I said no, the person on the phone said they do not service any carts not purchased from them. Well. If I owned a business and someone was interested in doing business on a product that I carried I would take the work and their money. But that is just me. I guess I will not call them again.:spoken:

Just installed them myself. $99 kit on the internet, free shipping, drilled two holes and installed with 8 bolts. Not a big deal at all.

I am quite surprised at the response you received. They are a licensed Yamaha dealer, so I would think it would be the same as if you purchased a car and just went to a different dealer for service. We bought a cart from them, and am awaiting delivery. Had excellent service, but am waiting to close the deal before adding any more comments. I'll try to remember to ask them if they service carts not bought from them.

I, too, am surprised at the response. I purchased a 2013 Yamaha cart from Carts and Clubs and will take delivery mid-February. They were very professional and very customer-oriented. My wife and I were very pleased with the transaction.

Perhaps they have enough work servicing the carts they sell. People who bought carts from them rave about their quick service. That may be because they don't take on more service work than they can do within a reasonable time frame.

Same response when I called.. They will gladly sell you parts at their store but will not service any cart unless bought from them.

Personally I don't feel "good" about this! I wonder if they are an authorized dealer. If they are, I can't imagine Yamaha being okay with not servicing their carts regardless where it is purchased. Not a good business model.

Jim, they are an authorized Yamaha dealer.

Are they declining to work on carts bought elsewhere that would be covered under the factory warranty? That would probably be a sticking point with the manufacturer.

I Agree....or would you rather them say i can get to you but it will be 2-3 weeks. There are enough golf cart repair shops out there to handle everyday business. It sounds like this place only wants to service products that they sell.

You hit it on the head. They service their people. They have a great staff that shows up promptly and does superior work. Blows away Village Carts.

Well, they sold new carts to three neighbors on my street alone within three weeks.

We bought our cart there last spring and can say only great things about customer service from them. I will say that when we were looking at carts The Villlages Carts said they would service carts not purchased from them BUT they would be done at the bottom of the list so would take a while. So Carts and Clubs aren't the only ones servicing their customers only or first.

Seat belts are an after market addition to a golf cart. Carts and Clubs response to a request for service regarding warranty work on a cart may be a different issue. I have bought two carts from them and have been very happy with the services provided. The Villages Golf Carts had previously refused to do even warranty work on carts not purchased from them. I know someone who purchased a cart online and The Villages refused to service it until the person complained to the Yamaha company.

Forgot where I got them but you can get them at Amazon. I got the ones for $103. Bracket had holes in front and back for 4 sets of belts. Only comes with 2 though. Let me know if you want to come over and take a look at mine.
